I've hit a plateau

"Doc, I've hit a plateau, what do I do?"

When you lose weight, you may hit a plateau.  When this happens, do several things:

  • Stay on track
  • Drink extra Alkaline/Oxygenated water -- bring your jug in for more if you run out
  • Read your manual -- you may be adding something or mixing up a procedure
  • Try exercising if you are not doing so.  Simply add in a 15 - 20 minute power walk
  • Don't get discouraged.  Your body is adjusting.
  • Some lose weight faster than others -- it works, just buckle down and don't give in.
  • Try a different protein or change the fruit or vegetable you are eating.

I stuck to the same few meals each day.  Boring yes...But Simple.  I told my family (kids to), what I was doing.  They would ask, "Daddy, can you eat this?", and help me succeed.  They were an encouragement to me and they see that I want to be Extra Healthy.  They started eating some of my foods to.  Your kids watch everything you do.  This is a good lesson for them to see your courage and determination.

You can do this and it is worth it!

Rock on!  Dr. T
